About Jamie: Jamie is a Midwest girl with a passion for woman empowerment. With a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Indiana University, she focused her interests around gendered communication and initiatives centered around creating opportunities for girls and women to find their voices. She strongly believes that each woman has a story to tell, and that the true reward is seeing that transition from uncertainty to fierceness.
About Raul: His guilty pleasure is Zebra Cakes. He’s been a professional portrait photographer for 13 years. He developed and taught courses in photography at Indiana University Kokomo where he was a full-time faculty member of the humanities department for 13 years. (Too many 13s). Raul also earned a Ph.D. in public affairs and issues management from Purdue University. He recently moved from Fort Worth, TX, where he has photographed many of the largest events in North Texas. Prior to moving to Fort Worth, Raul lived in Indiana for 13 years where was the official photographer of several pageant programs including the Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant. After his most recent years of corporate focused portraits, Raul is looking forward to exploring the more artistic side of boudoir photography with Jamie.
Fun Fact: Raul and Jamie met in 2010 when Jamie was a student in Raul’s organization communication class. She shared, “I sat in the back row…looking at Facebook when you were lecturing.” We lost touch after that 2010 class, but connected again on Facebook a couple of years ago.
