Rebecka | Birthday Boudoir

Birthday sessions are always one of our most festive sessions, and why shouldn’t they be! Rebecka joined us to celebrate her special day, so we brought out the special birthday decorations we use for these sessions. We also give each birthday client a small birthday cake that we use as part of the session. They take these cakes home with them, and we hope that keeps the celebration rolling along just a bit longer. Of course, birthday suits are often woven into these sessions, so we are a bit more limited on the great images we can share from Rebecka’s shoot.

About the session, Rebecka shared:

It was everything I hoped for!!! Definitely had a lot of anxiety but after awhile, my anxiety went away!! I had ssooooo much fun!! Thank you for making this year’s birthday pretty awesome!!

Yes, it’s very common to be anxious before a session…so many unknowns, even though we cover a lot of the details in our planning discussions. Most clients, though, feel right at home after the first outfit. It’s a bit like Grover in There’s a Monster at the End of This Book. Clients soon realize there was nothing to fear and so much to savor and celebrate.

We always love shooting with our two whiskey barrels! We should so more with them since we are…Bourbon & Pearls Boudoir! These sitting shots on the floor are some of Jamie’s favorites for me to create for our clients. I usually shoot with only one light during our barrel shots to give the images a more dramatic look. Some of these images make for gorgeous black and white images, and I bet those would pop in a rustic metal frame that matches the look and texture of the rings around our barrels.

I asked Rebecka what she did with the products she got from our photo session together.

I have the book on my bookshelf in the bedroom and one of the pictures is on the nightstand! And the hanging picture is hanging above our bed!!
